... with a special note!
thank you cousin! Lord, Help Me to Build a Healthy Child by Audrey Jeanne Roberts For it is easier to build a child then to repair an adult. Help me praise more than criticize, encourage more than nag, Discipline, not punish, and model good behavior rather than simple demand it. Help me break the habit of automatically saying “No”, when I could just as easily say “Yes,” and to remember a hug
given before it’s asked for is ten times more valuable! Help me ask myself, “Will this matter in 20 years?” Then enable me to let go of those things that won’t, so I can Have the energy for those that will. Help me earn their respect as I lead a life consistent with the principles I value. Lord, give me the courage to teach them right from wrong and help them discover their own special destinies. Help me to freely join in their silliness, share in their laughter, delight in their joys and keep their confidences. Remind me daily to draw upon your strength to heal their wounds and comfort their sorrows. Most of all, Lord, help me really listen for the hidden thoughts and needs that often lie behind their requests and give me the key to their heart that it may be opened wide to all life’s wonders and possibilities. These would make a nice accent for a plain top, sewing projects like a pencil case, purse, tote bag and many others. This would also make a nice decor in a scrapbook. ...and I'm planning to put it in my online catalog.
Cry... Yesterday the little lady went outside to to play with our almost 2 year old neighbor Miggy. Suddenly, Miggy cried and threw his slippers. His yaya scolded him, Miggy cried even more. The little lady, with no prodding from anyone, got the slippers and gave it to the little boy. Miggy stopped crying and smiled. Then the little lady said "cap, cap" while clapping. Amazing!
When she got home, I asked her who cried. She said "Miggy...cry...there".
Butterfly... Notice the butterfly on her shirt? She did not stop until I put it on her. This top is a gift from Tito Rico and Tita Manel. They bought it because the little lady's name is printed on the shirt - Michiko London.
The shirt is still a bit big for her but she insisted on wearing it because there is a "ba-fly...ba-fly" (butterfly) on it. ...of this, i made this... and someone said o-order siya pang gift sa teacher ng anak niya. (sana nga) woohoo!
of this... I thought maybe I could crochet the same thing. And so... here it is! Oh I love, love the color combination! Don't yah? my little lady is wearing a robe! how cute! Whenever I get the chance, I sew. But finding time has been a challenge for the past weeks. I miss it! It’s a stress reliever to cut and piece and sew and 'admire' the finished product. Fortunately, I managed to squeeze in a little time before the VDay and whipped up this tissue holder. My first tissue holder! My original plan was to sew several pieces so Mikee could give it to her teachers for Valentine's Day... but it remained that way - a plan! Anyway, my hands were really itchin' to sew so I hauled my fabric stash and found this excess fabric out of this. It's a little thick and i don't have to put a lining because it's kinda reversible. It took me just a couple of minutes to finish. I'm not so happy because the fabric looks gloomy. I would have to try to sew using a more colorful fabric. Been meaning to make a trip to the fabric store but... you guessed it right! I DON'T HAVE THE TIME! while web surfing i stumbled here. this is a really cool site that i'm sure mikee will not stop until i print one for him. even i was amazed! :::curtains::: kuya rudy wanted to take lolo pang to baguio for some r & r. but lolo pang refused because of the long drive. i suggested to just take him to nearby subic. i brought chiko and mikee along. it's christmas time again and lolo pang is here to spend the christmas with us. and that means more bonding moments between lolo pang and mikee. i slept at 2 am last dec 17 just to finish 16 pieces of flaglets for mikee's school project. i started at 4 pm... while being watched by this doll... ...and this little girl laughing and giggling! mikee asked me to buy some gifts for his friends in school. i did.. yesterday. today we wrapped it together... ...we made some gift tags using oslo paper and excess gift wrapper ... he wrote the names of his friends ...and dyaraaan! the gifts waiting to be given away next week. chiko giggled when she saw this from here that gave kuya an idea to give her a hello kitty stuffed toy for christmas. | text me here... | |
